Local 600 Cinematographer
& Camera Operator
AFI CIW ’19
My name is Giselle González! I have 13 years of experience in the camera department and I’m a proud member of IATSE LOCAL 600. In my decade as a camera assistant I worked under Ava Berkofsky ASC, Christian Sprenger ASC, Rachel Morrison ASC, Janusz Kaminski ASC, Linus Sandgren ASC FSF and many other Oscar and Emmy nominated cinematographers. I got to learn the craft from the best in the business. I worked my way up through the department as a loader and AC and started operating and shooting full time in October 2019. I was nominated and participated in the freshman class of the highly competitive AFI Cinematography Intensive for Women in 2019. I also completed an SOC Operator mentorship under Jesse M. Feldman in 2023. I am a member of the Chicana Director’s Initiative which is an organization that “promotes Latina Directors and Latina Directors of Photography in the entertainment industry with fair pay and equal representation.” I have shot feature films, short films, music videos, streaming episodic television and commercials. My passion is shooting dance, rhythm, and expressive movement. I also love anything with creative blocking and nontraditional coverage. Let’s make something beautiful and funky! I can’t wait to collaborate with you!
